The new League of Legends patch 13.1 has brought a range of changes to champions, items, runes and ARAM mode that are sure to shake up the game as we know it.
Jax is undergoing a significant mid-scope update with adjustments to his abilities and AP ratios. This is likely aimed at diversifying his playstyle and allowing for more strategic variation.
Aatrox's passive damage has been reduced along with the healing from his E while in R form. Additionally, his R bonus movement speed has been decreased. These changes may result in less dominant performances from this popular champion on the battlefield.
Several other champions have received minor tweaks such as base health increases (Sion), AD scaling decreases (Fiora) or cooldown reductions (Lissandra). Shaco players will be happy about lower mana costs and increased backstab damage, whereas Yuumi mains might not appreciate her Q base damage decrease.
Items haven't escaped Riot's attention either: the lethality on Axiom Arc is going up; Horizon Focus gets an Ability Power boost; Rod of Ages sees Health and Eternity passive adjustments; both Archangel’s Staff/Seraph’s Embrace receive Ability Power and Haste adjustments with Seraph’s Embrace getting its passive changed to Lifeline; finally, Winter’s Approach/Fimbulfrost undergo cost and health adjustments.
One item that stands out here though is Jak'Sho, the Protean - its cost will increase while Voidborne Resilience stacking & drain damage get adjusted which could potentially reduce its overall effectiveness.
In terms of Runes updates, Legend: Tenacity stack per legend value as well as maximum tenacity at full stacks have been decreased — a nerf directed towards tankier champions who often make use of this rune for added survivability against crowd control effects.
There are also several ARAM-specific modifications including buffs to lifesteal effectiveness on minions, reduction in death timers & specific champion adjustments aimed at balancing some overperformers in this game mode.
Season 2023 - Split 1 kickstarts with rank reset & new ranked rewards! Promotion series get slimmed down to best-of-3 matches while duo restrictions have now been disabled for Masters or above MMR tiers.
Refund tokens get refreshed up to a maximum capacity of three but will be completely removed by patch 13.11—this comes alongside an adjustment in refund policy.
New skins & chromas are available for acquisition but previous ones leave the Mythic shop so grab them before they're gone!
Last but not least come Quality Of Life improvements like Rune Recommender upgrades & Champion Select updates along with other miscellaneous enhancements & bugfixes.
To sum things up: these patch notes bring lots of exciting changes - Some champions become stronger than ever before whereas others face certain nerfs meant to balance their power levels. Regardless if you're thrilled about these tweaks or not one thing remains clear: The Summoner's Rift isn't going stay quite same after all!
